Ekiti Compensates Owners Of Structures Demolished For Flyover Construction

Governor Ayodele Fayose while handing
over the cheques to some of the
beneficiaries urged
the people of the state
to bear with government any
inconveniences the construction of the fly
over might inflict on them.
He added that his administration remains
resolute to turn Ado Ekiti into a modern
city and has commenced the demolition of
some of the structures.
The construction of the first ever overhead
bridge has necessitated the redirection of
traffic between Fajuyi Park and Okesha
Roundabout
Structures owned by individuals and
corporate bodies including shops owned
by the Police Officers Wives Association,
which fall within the reach of the flyover,
have been urged to pave way for the
project.
The Commissioner for Works and
Transport, Funmilayo Oguns gives the
figure the state government is paying as
compensation.
Some of the beneficiaries thanked the
Governor and prayed God to grant him all
he required to complete the project.
The 1.2KM flyover is to cost the state over
N5 billion.
