The Nigerian national football team has been
elevated by three spots in the latest ranking
released by world football governing body, FIFA.
The team is now 64th in the world in the
September ranking by Federation of
International Football Associations, FIFA, on
Thursday.
In August, the national team was placed 67th in
the word and 16th in Africa.
However, the ranking table on FIFA’s website
show that the Super Eagles earned points as
against 513 it had in August. The latest ranking
now puts Nigeria in the 14th position in Africa.
Relatively, Argentina and Belgium remain first
and second place, respectively.
Among the top five are Germany, Colombia and
Brazil.
